Good Reason Not to Advertise on Facebook
I gave advertising a try on facebook. I wanted to get more likes for my Facebook page, and try to earn some affiliate sales through Amazon. What I expected .vs what what I achieved left me highly disappointed with my campaigns. Most of the likes I received were from outside of America and useless. Most of the clicks for my affiliate campaigns added up to useless clicks from areas Amazon won't deliver to.
Yes, I did filter for results and regions. Yes, I attempted to work out a campaign that focused on users only in America and large American cities. Still, according to my server records, the clicks I managed to obtain from the Facebook advertising came from places I did not want. I also learned the clicks I was charged for were from click and like pools, i.e. (Companies that charge people for likes)
I also wish to make clear, the click and likes .vs the cost was worthless. I learned a valuable lesson. Your better off marketing using various platforms, and learning the ropes on how to get your website visited using other social medias.
I'm not mad about the losses from advertising with Facebook. I have refused the charges, simple due to the fact I was sold a crap service.
In my own personal opinion Facebook advertising is a waste of money and time. Although I know it's effective for getting your brand out there, it really does not work well for sales.
