A Few Good Quotes

I have a tendency to enjoy quotes.

I wanted to share a few of my favorite quotes today, just to get that lump of gray matter we all have thinking...

"Truth isn't just an absolute verses lies, truth is a practical practice in life."

"By design, humans are flawed to be indifferent towards the suffering of man, it is the heart and mind that by design overrules what is flawed."

"Dedication and delirium can be a confusing subject."

"I for one can not be blind, for even if my eyes are closed, I can still see where my heart belongs, and in which direction I am moving."

"Racism isn't something you're taught, it's something you're born into."

"Actions represent reaction, reactions represent cause, and failure represents doing nothing in either case."

"What we make of life isn't always grand and wonderful, but what we make of a life lived, beside us, leaves you remembered as grand and wonderful."

"My son has autism. One day I asked him to clean his room and make it spotless, after about ten minutes he came back and said..Dad, I looked everywhere but I couldn't find any spots"

"A dangerous mind is a mind that just doesn't understand the word no."

"Satan can't touch me, I've already been to hell and hell wasn't a place I care to visit again."

"Marijuana is a drug, but used correctly Marijuana is a healing herb. Unless of course you think it's only use is as a drug, in which case it will always be illegal. Then again, drugs that are illegal are drugs that should be illegal, like cocaine and heroin, people die from that stuff, never heard of a pot smoker dying, unless laughter and cookies cause death?"

"I'm so good in bed, I hired a hooker once and she paid me!"

"Ten Jews walk into a bar, the bartender said, What can I Jew for you?"

"What idiot told you that quotes have any meaning?"

"A riot is the language of the unheard."

"A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual doom."
"Another way that you love your enemy is this: When the opportunity presents itself for you to defeat your enemy, that is the time which you must not do it. There will come a time, in many instances, when the person who hates you most, the person who has misused you most, the person who has gossiped about you most, the person who has spread false rumors about you most, there will come a time when you will have an opportunity to defeat that person. It might be in terms of a recommendation for a job; it might be in terms of helping that person to make some move in life. That's the time you must do it. That is the meaning of love. In the final analysis, love is not this sentimental something that we talk about. It's not merely an emotional something. Love is creative, understanding goodwill for all men. It is the refusal to defeat any individual. When you rise to the level of love, of it's great beauty and power, you seek only to defeat evil systems. Individuals who happen to be caught up in that system, you love, but you seek to defeat the system."

“Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. This is not a way of life at all in any true sense. Under the clouds of war, it is humanity hanging on a cross of iron.”

“Whoever said the pen is mightier than the sword obviously never encountered automatic weapons.”
