The Jaggarnauth Murder Trial

A disturbing killing of a husband and wife in their Springfield Gardens home, nestled in Queens N.Y., leaves too many questions unanswered.

Charged with the murders is their own son, Shane Jaggarnauth, who police claim was the mastermind behind the slayings of Sugrim and Rosie Jaggarnauth. Even though he was also shot by the "unknown shooter", detectives say the unknown killer was the accomplice in the double homicide, and that Shane took the bullet to appear innocent.

Although the accomplice is still on the loose, and his identity is unknown, police have charged the son with the murders and is currently in trial over the slayings.

911 recordings of both Rosie and Shane were released during the trial, and added additional questions to the overall prosecution in regards to if Shane was really a victim or something worse.

“Me, my mother, my father have been shot. My mother and father are dead. Oh my god!” screamed Jaggarnauth, who is currently facing life in prison if found guilty for his supposed role in his parent’s murder.

"Unfortunately for the 911 operators, they sounded very unprofessional and lacked the ability to talk calmly." Said a man who sat in court during the trial hearing when the 911 recordings were played. "They sounded more annoyed with the call then concerned, but for me, it's kinda hard to say for sure the son was even involved"

Without the gunman captured at this point, it is becoming harder and harder to believe the son was a part of it. The crying and wailing he displayed in the recording isn't persistent with a murderer, but that show of emotion can also be mistaken for remorse and regret.

When the recordings were played, Shane was seen weeping and showed emotions that seemed truthful. Although prosecution continues to claim he was mad over being cut off financially, and planned the murders, unless he confesses on his own accord, it would seem the prosecutor will have a hard time convincing the jury he is  in fact guilty.

The alleged accomplice, who was spotted on video, has not been found, leaving too many questions unanswered as testimony continues on Wednesday.
